There is a picture and CD available. You can find the specs at the National Pipe Organ Register (see article about the organ at the Dome). The building housing the organ has been sold so the organ has to find a new home very soon.

The organ is in full working order at the moment and merely needs to be dismantled. I have been trying to launch an appeal here in England to save this instrument for PROFUSION SOUND ARCHIVE in Brighton which is aiming to save and collect pipe organs (and early keyboards - like Hammond which are being lost as the world turns digital ) keeping them in working order for the use of the public.

This organ is unusual in that it was made by a local builder (who still exists) and would form a perfect centrepiece for the collection which is looking for ( large ) premises at this time to house the collection. Important organs are being lost all over England ( and the world ) at this time as churches and chapels close. Several very large churches here in Brighton are set to close and we are hoping to secure one of these large buildings for the collection.

Help of all kinds is needed especially financial -of course!
I have been interviewed and photographed with the endangered organ but I need a celebrity name to make a positive statement about it and/or the archive in order to be published in the local rag to get an appeal off the ground. Can any of you help me with this? It need not be someone in the organ world - just a recognisable celeb.

I can't emphasise enough that the days of this organ are numbered and that there is only one chance to save organs presently being destroyed which can never be replaced.
