I help organise the Lamberhurst Music Festival in Kent. It is a registered charity promoting good music, and run to raise funds for our Parish Church of St. Mary.
On Saturday May 13th we are promoting an organ recital by Robert Houssart from Gloucester Cathedral in Tonbridge School Chapel. The Programme is:
Grand Choeur Dialogué Eugène Gigout
Andante sostenuto (Symphonie Gothique) Charles- Marie Widor
Toccata Eugène Gigout
Hommage à Igor Stravinski Naji Hakim
i. Prélude
ii. Danse
iii. Final
Pictures at an Exhibition Modest Mussorgsky
This will be an exciting virtuoso concert in a remarkable building and on a fine instrument. The concert is at 7.30 preceded by a drinks reception at the school at 6.30 which is included in the ticket price of £12.50
If you are able to bring this concert to the attention of organists I would be most grateful, and I have confidence that they will enjoy their evening.
